When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed. - Maya Angelou

Street Outreach: Street outreach programs provide services either through direct initiatives or by collaborating with other agencies to provide immediate needs for food, clothing, and shelter. We distribute first aid kits, healthy snacks, water, blankets, clothing like underwear and outer wear to protect against the weather, flashlights, toothbrushes and toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, sewing kits, self-care kits for common illnesses, cards with emergency phone numbers, resource lists of homeless shelters, food pantries and free medical facilities, and legal aid information cards.

Art Therapy/Poetry Reading: Being homeless can be very depressing and often does not offer many opportunities to express yourself or be you. Art therapy encourages people to express themselves through different art mediums. This form of therapy is based on the idea that the creative act can be healing. People are asked to visualize and then display their thoughts and emotions through artwork. This may be in the form of paintings, drawings, sculptures or clay. A therapist then discusses the created work with the artist to try to glean insights. This "analysis" lets the person explore their feelings and work through issues in a constructive, nonthreatening way. Poetry reading is another artistic way of encouraging expression through creative word flow and rhythmic continuity.
